ActiveVideo Networks, which provides programming and technology that, infuse television with Web content and interactivity has announced that Edgar Villalpando has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Marketing. Villalpando served with the leading companies such as Ford, Miller Brewing, Mobil Oil, and Wesson Oil and joined DirecTV and served as director, marketing and advertising from 1999-2004 and was vice president, new media and business development for HBO’s international group. Before joining ActiveVideo Networks Edgar Villalpando recently served as general manager of THUMP, an agency that develops and markets branded content through a combination of traditional and interactive platforms.
