Blue Ridge Communications has announced that it has signed a deal with NFL to launch NFL RedZone channel produced by NFL Network in high-definition on Channel 644. Blue Ridge joins Dish Network, Comcast and Verizon in adding the RedZone channel during the launch of the channel on Sept. 13.
NFL RedZone channel will provide live action and real-time highlights from the 1:00 p.m. E.T. and 4:00 p.m. E.T. Host Scott Hanson brings viewers real-time scoring and fantasy updates from a new state-of-the-art NFL RedZone studio at NFL Network headquarters in Los Angeles.
NFL RedZone delivers the most exciting moments live on Sunday afternoon NFL Games in HD. RedZone channel will keep fans up-to-date in real time, switching from game to game with live look-ins, highlights and a chance to see every important play.
Mark Masenheimer, vice president of operations, Blue Ridge Communications, said: “The NFL RedZone is a great addition to our expanding High Definition lineup. With the NFL Network, NFL On Demand and now the NFL RedZone, football fans have lots of programming options.”
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, said: “NFL RedZone is one of the most exciting new products for football fans since the invention of instant replay. We are currently in discussions with distributors so fans will be able to watch this new channel on Sunday afternoons.”
