Bright House Networks Signs Agreement with NBCU To Provide 2008 Beijing Olympic Games

Bright House Networks has announced that they have reached an agreement with NBC Universal to provide its subscribers with NBC’s best coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Bright House Networks is to offer the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in various platforms like video-on-demand (VOD), high-definition (HD), broadband, and more. NBCU to offer more than 1,200 total hours of Olympics coverage on seven NBCU networks – NBC, USA Network, MSNBC, CNBC, Oxygen, Mojo HD and Universal HD, Bright House plans to offer customers with Free-On-Demand and HD services, as well as broadband content. Subscribers will also enjoy NBCU’s two HD sport-specific channels for soccer and basketball.

Bright House Networks also plans to offer more than 800 hours of HD coverage on select NBCU HD networks like

NBC HD – 225 hours

Universal HD – 379 hours of simulcasts and re-airs of CNBC and MSNBC

HD sport – NBC Olympic Soccer Channel and NBC Olympic Basketball Channel
