			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>Cox Communications has announced the launch of a Facebook application called “Digi’s Summer Vacation,” which encourages fans to upload their own photos into a series of illustrated summer vacation scenes with Digi, the mini robot that serves as Cox’s mascot.</p>
<p>The interactive app, found at facebook.com/coxarizona, invites Cox Communications Arizona fans to upload images of their faces as well as their friends’ on the bodies of characters such as volleyball players, skydivers and beach bums. Once they upload their heads onto the bodies, fans can then save the scenes to their Facebook photo galleries and publish them to their wall using funny captions. By interacting with the application, fans can qualify to win a year of free cable, Internet and phone, as well as one of five staycations at Loews Ventana Canyon in Tucson, $5,000 in “Digi Dollars” or one of 500 Digi plush dolls.</p>
<p>With more than 24,000 fans, Cox Arizona has the most active Fan Page out of any Cox system nationwide. The Arizona market has found social media – particularly Facebook – to be a beneficial communications tool for engaging directly with customers, responding to questions about services and announcing new product offerings.</p>
<p>“Social media has become a very important piece of our marketing mix,” said Ivan Johnson, vice president of community relations and televideo-Cox Arizona, and the primary voice for Cox Arizona’s social media tools. “We have done a good job of building up our Facebook fan base over the last year, and now it’s time to encourage more interaction with our brand online by launching the Digi’s Summer Vacation app.”</p>
<p>Over the course of the next month, Cox Arizona plans to release a total of eight scenes, with prize giveaways along the way.</p>

ESPN360.com began live streaming of select games in high-definition quality.</p>

The largest daily newspaper between Denver and Salt Lake City, The Daily Sentinel&#8217;s executive team will remain and executive vice president of Grand Junction Media, Jay Seaton will join the team.</p>
<p>Doug Franklin, executive vice president, Cox Newspapers said &#8220;Cox greatly values the contributions made by The Daily Sentinel, The Nickel and their employees, Seaton Publishing has nearly two centuries of experience publishing newspapers and serving advertisers. Under its leadership, we are confident that The Daily Sentinel and The Nickel will continue to be vital within Grand Junction.&#8221;</p>

Cox Preferred and Premier package customers can store photos, videos and documents online. This new service allows customers to transfer files from computer to their online vault. Subscribers can download a software, which will automatically copy files from customer’s computer into the storage vault on a regular basis.<br/><br />
&#8220;We&#8217;re committed to helping our customers get more out of what they&#8217;re into,&#8221; stated Chris Pantoya, Vice President-Sales and Marketing. &#8220;Media Store and Share is a perfect example of bringing that strategy to life. Customers can back-up their files in their own secure, online vault &#8212; and if they choose, they can share those files with friends and family.&#8221;</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>Cox Communications and C-SPAN Networks are teaming up to host &#8220;Campaign in the Commonwealth Tour&#8221; on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Landstown High School in Virginia Beach and on Wednesday, September 24, at Menchville High School in Newport News. Campaign in the Commonwealth Tour will provide high school upper class men at Landstown and Menchville with the opportunity to debate the platforms of Republican presidential nominee, Sen. John McCain and Democratic presidential nominee, Sen. Barack Obama. Students will also participate in a mock presidential election and tour the C-SPAN Campaign 2008 Bus.</p>
<p>&#8220;With 2008 being a major election year, Cox wants to engage area youth in the electoral process and encourage them to voice their opinions. And we are excited to be part of the educational process with this partnership with C- SPAN&#8221; said Gary McCollum, Senior Vice President and General Manager. Mr. McCollum will also moderate the debate.</p>

<p>Christine C. Pantoya joined 13-years before as sales and marketing professional, before joining Cox; she served as national vice president, sales with Enhanced Wireless. She also was vice president for Clearwire and also as regional vice president, field sales business for eight years with Sprint Nextel.</p>

The Multi-Cultural Marketing Awards are of two categories: case studies/campaigns and marketing tactics and its being sponsored by ESPN Deportes.</p>
<p>&#8220;The buying power of ethnic consumers has greater impact year over year,&#8221; said Daphne Leroy, vice president, Marketing and Communications, NAMIC. &#8220;We are proud to raise awareness of the outstanding efforts put forth by the NAMIC EMMA winners to reach multi-ethnic communities, which are critical to the viability of our industry.&#8221;<br />
Rogers Cable Communications and Cox Communications will be awarded with three first-place wins in companies/distributors division and Comcast earned two first-place honors. Time Warner Cable finished first-place in a single category.</p>
