Comcast has signed a carriage agreement with Fox Cable Networks to launch FX and Speed channels in high-definition in several markets. This is according to Multichannel News. Comcast has already added FX HD and Speed HD in some markets that also include Chicago. The cable operator will also add these channels in most of the markets before end of the year.
Mike Hopkins, president of affiliate sales and marketing for Fox Cable Networks said “The networks offer quality programming and there has been an explosion in the demand from our affiliates for HD. We appreciate that Comcast and other distributors are endorsing two of our most popular networks.”
