Dish Network Adds Local HD In Five Cities

DirecTV has added local high-definition channels with its aggressive local HD expansion and now the satcaster has added in 100 markets. Dish Network also is added local HD channels and announced in five markets:
Florence - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Fort Myers - Naples, Florida
Greenville - New Bern - Washington, North Carolina
Madison, Wisconsin and
Wilkes Barre - Scranton, Pennsylvania
Dish Network plans to deliver local HD channels in 100 markets before the year end; the satcaster has not announced the channels that are launched in these cities. Dish, now offers local HD channels in 70 markets, reaching 71 percent of U.S. TV households.
