Dish Network Delivers local HD Channels in Louisville, Kentucky

DirecTV has been adding local HD channels in many cities and the satcaster now offers local HD broadcast in 115 cities which represents more than 87 percent of U.S. TV households. DirecTV is able to deliver local HD channels with the help of new satellite DIRECTV 11 launched in August. Dish Network also started to add local HD’s in few cities.

Now the satcaster has delivered HD locals in Louisville, Kentucky. Dish Network subscribers must have a MPEG-4 receiver to receive following channels

WAVE-TV 3 – Channel 5172.

WHAS-TV 11 – Channel 5170 and

WLKY-TV 32
– Channel 5171

Dish Network subscribers in other cities can also expect local HD’s very soon.
