Multi-Cultural Marketing Awards For 2008 Announced by NAMIC

Excellence In Multi-Cultural Marketing Awards (EMMA) for the year 2008 has been announced and the awards will be presented at a special session of the 22nd Annual NAMIC Conference on Monday, September 15, 2008. The function will be hosted at the New York Marriott Marquis, where the three-day conference “Diversity: Pipeline to Innovation” is scheduled for September 14-16, 2008. The Multi-Cultural Marketing Awards are of two categories: case studies/campaigns and marketing tactics and its being sponsored by ESPN Deportes.

“The buying power of ethnic consumers has greater impact year over year,” said Daphne Leroy, vice president, Marketing and Communications, NAMIC. “We are proud to raise awareness of the outstanding efforts put forth by the NAMIC EMMA winners to reach multi-ethnic communities, which are critical to the viability of our industry.”
Rogers Cable Communications and Cox Communications will be awarded with three first-place wins in companies/distributors division and Comcast earned two first-place honors. Time Warner Cable finished first-place in a single category.
