NTCA And NRTC Offers More Than 80 HD Channels

The National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA) and the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC) have the facility to deliver more than 80 high-definition channels. NRTC has increased its HD programming line-up and now offering premium services like HBO and Starz; the entire ESPN HD lineup; and services from Disney, Discovery Communications, Lifetime Networks, Smithsonian and the Tennis Channel.

NRTC is offering HD Basic and HD Tier programming package and channels include:
HD Basic – CNN HD, ESPN HD and Bravo HD

HD Tier – A&E HD, HDNet and HD Theater (Discovery Networks)

NRTC President and Chief Executive Officer Bob Phillips said “HD is growing in importance in rural areas. With it, rural Telco’s can compete effectively against cable or other service providers that offer voice, Internet and video, consumers choose their video services based on the features available. With the number of HD channels in our programming solution and the tiers we’ve created, rural Telco’s can position themselves advantageously.”
