Hulu has signed a deal with Entertainment producers O2 Media to launch women-centric TV show ‘The Balancing Act’ on Hulu.com.
“Adding Hulu to what we call our ‘value envelope’ is fantastic for our shows,” says Gerald Czarnecki, O2 Media’s President and CEO. “Through Hulu, we will be expanding our viewership to a younger demographic, and to fans who want to watch their favorite show any time of day or night. That’s a huge added value and tremendous additional exposure to those appearing on our shows.”
Vice President of Marketing/Internet Evangelist Limor Windt was instrumental in working to strike the deal with Hulu said “We approached Hulu with the idea of becoming a content partner, and their enthusiasm was greater than we could have expected. Our networks are also excited for the additional ‘eyeballs’ we all gain from Hulu.”
Celebrity guests on The Balancing Act include Vivica A. Fox, Blair Underwood, Brendan Fraser, Brooke Shields, Olivia Newton-John, Belinda Carlisle, Kim Kardashian, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jon Secada and more.
O2 Media’s other long-running woman-centric show, Designing Spaces, airing on WE tv, has also just joined its sister show on Hulu.
It was a good marriage from the get-go, with each entity getting high-value propositions they’d been seeking. “This is a big leap forward for O2 Media,” Ms. Windt continues. “We’re moving online faster than we anticipated, and realize we can engage so many more women online with our educational format.”
