Verizon Communications has announced the launch of 77 channels in FiOS TV line up in Texas on Monday, Oct. 6. Verizon’s FiOS TV’s 77 new channels include 57 high-definition channels. Verizon now offers 87 HD channels in Texas and over 780 HD choices every month. Telco now offers more HD channels in Texas than any other cable operator. FiOS TV new HD channels include:
Animal Planet HD
Bravo HD
CNBC HD
CNN HD
History Channel HD
Lifetime HD
Sci Fi. HD
Science Channel HD
Smithsonian Channel HD
TBS HD
TLC HD
USA HD and
Weather Channel HD
Apart from these HD channels, Verizon’s Texas subscribers will get 13 HBO HD channels, 11 from Cinemax in HD, ShowTime’s 13 different channels and seven new HD sports channels.Verizon has also delivered 20 new standard-definition channels for customers in Texas. New channels include Reelz, Veria TV and WAPA TV. Verizon also is now offering two new standard-definition sports channels: Big Ten Network and Setanta Sports.Verizon said “We will continue expanding our FiOS TV channel line-up this year, with a major focus on HD content. By the end of 2008 we plan to offer all available major HD programming.”
